When the Augustinian Canons at Dalheim Monastery still entertained their guests themselves, almost exclusively local food was served. Now the Brand family from the Gasthaus am Königsweg is continuing the tradition of Westphalian hospitality in the monastery inn. At its peak, Dalheim Monastery was famous for its fine cuisine. Today's monastery inn is also in keeping with this tradition: excellent dishes prepared according to monastic and regional recipes, many seasonal specialties, homemade cakes and the home-brewed Dalheimer Klosterbräu are on the menu here. Museum visitors and guests can enjoy hot meals, homemade cakes and tasty snacks in the inn all day long. The food is always fresh and regional, and delicious game dishes from the Dalheim area are also served. The monastery inn is open Tuesday to Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. However, it is also happy to open outside of these times for your celebrations and gatherings. There are special historical rooms available throughout the restaurant with its 200 seats and the garden terrace: the Bartholdus Schonlau Hall (approx. 70 seats), the Chorherrenstube (approx. 30 seats), the servants' chamber (approx. 25 seats) and the brewery cellar (approx. 100 seats).
