The Administration Bureau of the Chinese Academy of Sciences is responsible for the logistics work of the Academy and the Institutes in Beijing. The Administration Bureau is responsible for the administrative logistics work of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing, including implementing the relevant work in the planning of the logistics support system of the whole Academy, organizing and implementing the "3H Project" in Beijing, and renovating and building the East District of Zhongguancun. The service and guarantee work involved mainly includes the management of basic supporting facilities in Beijing, the maintenance and renovation of old residential areas, the construction of talent turnover apartments, property management and services, the admission of children of institute employees to kindergartens and schools, medical insurance for scientific researchers, and comprehensive social improvement in the region. The scope of protection covers the scientific research area, living area, public area in Beijing, and some areas outside Beijing. It plays an important role in supporting scientific research institutes and technological innovation, solving the worries of scientific researchers, and promoting the integration and coordinated development of institutes and local areas. At present, the Administration Bureau has basically formed service and guarantee work in five major areas: science and technology property, preschool education, life services, scientific and cultural communication, and new technology services. It has participated in the main work of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Logistics Association and took the lead in establishing three logistics alliances under the association: science and technology property, preschool education, and expert apartments.
